Home coffee bar checklist — build your own café at home
A good coffee corner is less about one expensive machine and more about the right small pieces coming together. This list covers equipment, beans, cups and cleaning, and you can share the shopping through a room code, for yourself or as a gift. No sign-up needed.
In short
A home coffee bar needs a brewing method (an espresso machine, pour-over dripper, French press or cezve), a coffee grinder, a kitchen scale, coffee beans and cups, plus a milk frother and pitcher for milk drinks. Buy beans in small bags, grind right before brewing and weigh both coffee and water. Clean the machine and grinder regularly.

Tips
Buy beans in small bags and store them sealed, away from light and moisture; ground coffee goes stale fast.
Grind right before brewing and match the grind to the method: fine for espresso, coarser for filter.
Weigh both the coffee and the water every time; it's the easiest way to get the same taste again.
Clean the machine and grinder regularly; old coffee oils spoil the taste of fresh beans.
How it works

Who's buying what shows up instantly; bought items get ticked, so nobody buys the same thing twice.
Frequently asked questions
What should you buy first for a home coffee bar?
A good grinder, a kitchen scale and fresh beans change the taste more than an expensive machine. Pick the brewing method (pour-over, French press, cezve or espresso) by how you like your coffee; pour-over and French press are usually the cheapest to start with.
How fine should coffee be ground for espresso and filter?
Fine for espresso, medium for filter coffee, coarse for French press and powder-fine for cezve. Grounds that are too fine taste bitter, while too coarse ones taste thin and sour.
How much water per gram of coffee should you use?
For filter coffee, 15 to 17 grams of water per gram of coffee is a good starting point; for espresso you aim for about twice the coffee's weight in liquid. Weigh and note both and you can repeat the same taste.
Can I change the list?
Of course. The ready-made list is just a starting point: delete, add, move items between categories.
Do I need an account?
No. A room code is all it takes — no email, password or signup.
How long is the list kept?
As long as you use it. A list is only deleted after a month without any activity; even opening the room resets the clock.
Can I install it on my phone?
Yes. With the room open, tap "Save Room" to add it to your home screen and open it with one tap.
