Spring cleaning checklist — refresh your home top to bottom

Spring cleaning can drag on simply because nobody knows what is already in the cupboard. This list gathers everything from cleaners to equipment, and shared through a room code everyone sees who is picking up what. No sign-up needed.

In short

Spring cleaning works best room by room and from top to bottom: ceiling corners, cupboard tops and windows first, floors last. A basic kit of all-purpose cleaner, glass cleaner, degreaser, limescale remover, microfiber cloths, gloves and a step ladder covers most homes, and spreading the job over a few weekends keeps it manageable.

18 items go straight into your new room; delete what you don't need, add what's missing. No account needed.

What's on the list

  • Duster
  • Step ladder
  • White vinegar

Cleaning & household

  • All-purpose cleaner
  • Glass cleaner
  • Degreaser
  • Limescale remover
  • Bleach
  • Disinfectant
  • Furniture polish
  • Carpet shampoo
  • Microfiber cloths
  • Sponges

Tips

  • Clean from top to bottom: ceiling corners, cupboard tops and windows first, floors last, because the dust falls down anyway.

  • Never mix cleaning products, bleach above all, and keep the windows open while you work.

  • Split the rooms between you and tick each one off as it's done; spreading the job over a few weekends beats one exhausting day.

  • Wash windows on an overcast day, as direct sun dries the cleaner too fast and leaves streaks.

How it works

  1. 1. Open your room

Tap the button and the items land in a fresh room. No account, no email, nothing to install.

  2. 2. Share the code

Send the room code or the link to the group; everyone's on the same list in seconds.

  3. 3. Finish it together

Who's buying what shows up instantly; bought items get ticked, so nobody buys the same thing twice.

Frequently asked questions

Where should you start with spring cleaning?

Pick one room and finish it before moving on to the next. Within each room, work from the highest spots down to the floor, so falling dust lands on surfaces you haven't cleaned yet.

Can you use bleach and vinegar together?

No. Mixing bleach with vinegar, limescale remover or other cleaners can release toxic gas. Use products one at a time, rinse the surface in between and keep the windows open.

How do you wash windows without streaks?

Wet the glass with cleaner, pull the squeegee from top to bottom in one stroke and wipe the blade on a clean cloth after each pass. Dry any drops left at the edges with a dry microfiber cloth.

Can I change the list?

Of course. The ready-made list is just a starting point: delete, add, move items between categories.

Do I need an account?

No. A room code is all it takes — no email, password or signup.

How long is the list kept?

As long as you use it. A list is only deleted after a month without any activity; even opening the room resets the clock.

Can I install it on my phone?

Yes. With the room open, tap "Save Room" to add it to your home screen and open it with one tap.
