Frequently asked questions

Do green lentils need soaking first?

No, rinse and simmer them straight away. Add lemon or tomato at the salad stage rather than while boiling, because acid slows the lentils from softening.

How long does lentil salad keep in the fridge?

About 3 days in a sealed container. To keep it fresher, stir in the parsley and mint just before serving, since herbs wilt if they sit in the dressing for long.

Is lentil salad a good source of protein?

Yes. Cooked lentils contain roughly 9 g of protein per 100 g, plus plenty of fibre. The lemon and tomato supply vitamin C, which helps the body absorb iron from plant foods.

Can I change the list?

Of course. The ready-made list is just a starting point: delete, add, move items between categories.

Do I need an account?

No. A room code is all it takes — no email, password or signup.

How long is the list kept?

As long as you use it. A list is only deleted after a month without any activity; even opening the room resets the clock.

Can I install it on my phone?

Yes. With the room open, tap "Save Room" to add it to your home screen and open it with one tap.
