Ingredients
- Flour1½ cups
- Milk1 cup
- Egg1
- Sugar2 tbsp
- Baking powder2 tsp
- Salt1 pinch
- Butter3 tbsp
- Vanilla extract1 tsp
- Bananas2, to serve
- Honeyto serve
Method
Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Melt 2 tablespoons of the butter and let it cool slightly.
In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, egg, vanilla and melted butter.
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir with a fork or whisk for only 10–15 seconds, just until the dry flour disappears. A few lumps are fine; overmixing makes tough pancakes.
Rest the batter for 5 minutes; if it seems too thick, loosen it with 2–3 tablespoons of milk.
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and grease lightly with the remaining butter. Pour ¼ cup of batter per pancake; flip when bubbles appear on the surface and the edges look set (about 2 minutes), then cook 1–2 minutes more.
Serve hot with sliced banana and honey.

Frequently asked questions
Why aren't my pancakes fluffy?
The baking powder may be old, or the batter was overmixed. Stir only until the dry flour disappears, rest the batter for 5 minutes and make sure the pan is properly hot before you pour.
Why are my pancakes burnt outside and raw inside?
The heat is too high. Stay at medium, and flip when bubbles appear on the surface and the edges look set. Treat the first pancake as a test and adjust the heat from there.
Can I make pancake batter ahead?
Yes, covered in the fridge for up to a night. The baking powder loses some strength over time, so expect slightly less rise; stir gently and loosen with a spoonful of milk if it has thickened.
Can I change the list?
Of course. The ready-made list is just a starting point: delete, add, move items between categories.
Do I need an account?
No. A room code is all it takes — no email, password or signup.
How long is the list kept?
As long as you use it. A list is only deleted after a month without any activity; even opening the room resets the clock.
Can I install it on my phone?
Yes. With the room open, tap "Save Room" to add it to your home screen and open it with one tap.
