- Lime1 (for 15 ml juice)
- Iceenough to fill the mug
- Lime wedgeto garnish
- Mint sprigto garnish
- Fresh ginger1 slice, optional
- Cucumber1–2 slices, optional
Method
Fill a copper mug or a tall glass to the top with ice cubes. The mug is optional: it keeps the drink cold, but it tastes just as good in a glass.
Add 45 ml vodka and 15 ml freshly squeezed lime juice.
Top up with about 120 ml of cold ginger beer, pouring slowly so it doesn't foam over.
Give it one gentle stir with a long spoon.
Garnish with a lime wedge and a mint sprig, and add a slice of fresh ginger or cucumber if you like. Serve right away.

Frequently asked questions
Why is a Moscow Mule served in a copper mug?
Copper conducts cold quickly, so the mug turns icy and keeps the drink cool for longer; it's also the cocktail's traditional serve. If you don't have one, chill a tall glass in the freezer beforehand.
Can I use ginger ale instead of ginger beer?
You can, but ginger ale is sweeter and milder, and the ginger bite fades. Pick ginger beer if you can find it; with ginger ale, add a little more lime juice and a slice of fresh ginger.
How do I make a non-alcoholic Moscow Mule (Virgin Mule)?
Leave out the vodka: add 15 ml lime juice and about 150 ml ginger beer to a mug full of ice and garnish with lime and mint. Ginger beer is already a non-alcoholic soft drink, so the result stays sharp and fresh.
Can I change the list?
Of course. The ready-made list is just a starting point: delete, add, move items between categories.
Do I need an account?
No. A room code is all it takes — no email, password or signup.
How long is the list kept?
As long as you use it. A list is only deleted after a month without any activity; even opening the room resets the clock.
Can I install it on my phone?
Yes. With the room open, tap "Save Room" to add it to your home screen and open it with one tap.
