Piña Colada recipe — creamy pineapple and coconut
A Piña Colada is the easiest way to bring a holiday cocktail into your own kitchen: three ingredients, a blender and ice. Copy the ingredients to your room, tick off what's missing at the shop, and keep the steps open on your phone.
1 glass · 5 min
In short
A Piña Colada takes 50 ml white rum, 30 ml cream of coconut, 50 ml pineapple juice and a cup of crushed ice, using the IBA proportions, and one glass takes about 5 minutes. Blend everything until smooth, pour into a chilled glass and garnish with a pineapple wedge. Cream of coconut is the sweetened kind, not coconut milk.

Method
Cut a wedge of pineapple for the garnish. Chill a large glass or a hurricane glass in the fridge beforehand.
Put 50 ml white rum, 30 ml cream of coconut, 50 ml pineapple juice and a cup of crushed ice into the blender.
Blend for about 20–30 seconds until smooth and snowy. If it's too watery, add some ice; if it's too thick, add a splash of pineapple juice.
Pour into the chilled glass.
Garnish with the pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry, and serve right away with a straw.

Frequently asked questions
Is cream of coconut the same as coconut milk?
No. The cream of coconut used in cocktails is sweetened and thick; coconut milk is unsweetened and thinner. With milk the texture is lighter and the taste less sweet, so add a little sugar if needed.
How do I make a non-alcoholic Piña Colada (Virgin Colada)?
Make the same recipe without the rum: blend the cream of coconut, pineapple juice and ice. It comes out sweet and creamy; a little fresh lime juice brings the balance back.
How do I get a smooth, thick Piña Colada?
Use crushed ice, blend for 20–30 seconds and keep the ingredients cold. Too little ice leaves it watery, too much makes it coarse; adjust by adding ice or pineapple juice a little at a time.
Can I change the list?
Of course. The ready-made list is just a starting point: delete, add, move items between categories.
Do I need an account?
No. A room code is all it takes — no email, password or signup.
How long is the list kept?
As long as you use it. A list is only deleted after a month without any activity; even opening the room resets the clock.
Can I install it on my phone?
Yes. With the room open, tap "Save Room" to add it to your home screen and open it with one tap.
